SEATTLE, Wash. -At the end of the second day of the Pacific-10 Championships, played on the par-72, 6,196 yard Broadmoor Country Club golf course, the Cougar women remain in eighth place with a team score of 635.

The Cougars began the day carrying a score of 317 from the first round, tacking on a score of 318 by the end of the second round. The Cougars sit 11 strokes behind seventh place Stanford, and stay in front of the University of Oregon by five strokes.

"We didn't play all that well today," said Head Golf Coach Walt Williams. "We had to play a tough course in unfavorable weather conditions."

Sophomore Amy Eneroth finished the day by moving up to 15th from a previous standing of 23rd. Eneroth shot a 74 in the second round to give her a total score of 153 (+9). Junior Brooke Henderson and freshman Diana Hong both sit tied for 27th, with matching scores of 160 (+16). Henderson shot an 82 in the second round while Hong shot a 77. Both players are a mere two strokes out of the top-25.

"Eneroth and Hong both played solid today, especially considering the weather," Williams said.
