Women's Golf Claws Their Way to a Top Five Finish at the Heather Farr Memorial Invite

BROOMFIELD, Colo. - All-American Anastasia Kostina climbed her way up the charts, earning her 14th career top-10 finish at the eighth annual Heather Farr Memorial Invitational, held at the par 72, 6,236 yard Omni Interlocken Golf Club, Oct. 4.

The Washington State women's golf team clawed their way up three spots on the charts to completed the two day tournament in fifth, finishing three shots ahead of Pacific-10 foe No. 24 Oregon State.

The Nakhabino, Russian native, entered the final round in a five-way tie for fifth, but battled her way into a third place finish after shooting a 71, her lowest round of the tournament. Sophomore Amy Eneroth shot her lowest round of the tournament (75), moving her up ten spots into a five-way tie for 33rd, finishing just two shots out of the top-25. Brooke Henderson finished the tournament knotted in a tie with Eneroth at 33rd, after shooting a 76 on the final 18 holes, her lowest round of the tournament.

Rounding out the Cougar contingent, Tracy Broders finished at 38th, while teammate Stephanie Parsley ended the 54-hole tournament tied at 39th.

The women will return to action at the Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational in Redmond, Wash., Oct. 10-12.
