Monterey, Calif.--- Junior Jennifer Dodd (Portland, Ore) continued her stellar play at the Spartan Invitational on Wednesday by firing her second consecutive 76 and springboarding to a final standing of 15th place. Dodd and her Cougar teammates finished seventh overall, edging out Washington by one stroke.
Freshman Shanelle Roberts (Tacoma, Wash.) joined Dodd in the top-25 by matching her career-best with a third round 76. It was the rookie's third top-25 performance this year. Senior Jenny Ballou (Portland, Ore.) finished with a three round 236 and tied for 30th overall. Tasha Browner (Tarzana, Calif.) helped the Cougars to a three-day total of 939 by shooting a first round 76 and finishing in 37th place.
Arizona State (905) caught fire in the second and third rounds to overcome a four stroke deficit and capture the team title. Host school San Jose State finished six strokes behind the Sun Devils at 911. Oklahoma State (919), Tulsa (923), and Tulane (930) rounded out the top-five.
Stacy Prammanasudh of Tulsa preserved a wire-to-wire win by firing a final round 72. Despite a third round run by the nation's top player, Arizona State's Miriam Nagl, JoAnn Heller of Oklahoma State held on for second, six strokes off the lead. Nagl finished one stroke behind Heller at 225.
