SANTA CLARITA, Calif. - The Washington State women's golf team holds their position in 18th place at the Bruin Wave Invitational. The team improved on their first round score by five strokes but remain the same in the standings at the par-72, 6,282-yard Robinson Ranch Golf Club.

The Cougars were led by freshman Emma Betland who posted a 76 (+4), which moved her up 11 spots in the standings for a two round total of 157. Also improving in the second round, sophomore Kristen Allard carded a 79 (+7) for a tournament total of 162 (+18).

Freshman Ali Thompson, who was disqualified in round one, came back with an 83 (+11) on the second day. Fellow freshman Ellen Park posted an 87 (+15) and redshirt junior Allison Travis shot a 90 (+18).

Five of the six golfers improved on their rounds from day one and hope to continue improving in the final round with tee times starting at 7:30 am.
