THIS WEEK: The Cougars will host the No. 42 Oregon Ducks in Lewiston Friday.

HART ON THIS WEEKEND: "We're excited about our Pac-10 opener," Washington State Head Coach Lisa Hart said. "Everyone is playing great tennis, competing hard, and coming together as a team."

UP NEXT: The Cougars head to Las Vegas, Nev., for the UNLV Invitational Feb. 27-29. Other schools attending the tournament include: Kansas, New Mexico, Oklahoma State, Fresno State, Tulane, Northern Arizona and Boston College.

LAST TIME OUT: Senior Lorena Arias etched her name in the Cougar record books by capturing career win number 65 against Virginia Tech's Ginger Lowdermilk, 7-5, 6-3. Arias now holds the fifth spot on the all-time singles victory list. Zsofia Fodor captured win number 10 of the season in singles play by defeating Carolina Rodriguez, 6-0, 6-2. The Cougars fell to No. 69 Virginia Tech 4-3.

COUGARS IN THE RANKINGS: The WSU Cougars finished last season at No. 51 in the ITA rankings and currently hold the No. 50 slot...Orsolya Sallai is ranked No. 20 in singles in the Northwest Region...senior Arias is No. 30 in the Northwest Region...Arias and junior Chris Martinez are ranked No. 9 regionally in doubles.
