PULLMAN, Wash. - The Washington State University women's golf team returned to the course this past week to begin preparations for the 2011-12 season.

Third-year head coach Kelli Kamimura and junior Emma Betland talked about the team's goals and expectations for the upcoming fall season.

The Cougars open their fall season with the Circling Raven Golf Clun Collegiate Invite in Worley, Idaho Sept. 12-13 before returning to Pullman to host the Cougar Cup Sept. 19-20 at Palouse Ridge Golf Club. WSU claimed last year's Cougar Cup after Betland birdied the 18th hole to give the Cougs a one-stroke victory over runner-up Washington.
