COUGAR CROSS COUNTRY RACING IN SPOKANE VALLEY
The Washington State University men's and women's cross country teams will compete at the 11th Annual Runners Soul/Erik Anderson Memorial Cross Country Invitational this Saturday, September 25, at the Plantes Ferry Complex in the Spokane Valley...results will be posted on the official WSU Athletic website, wsucougars.com, when available.

ABOUT THE COURSE
The Plantes Ferry Park Complex has been the site for three National level cross country races: National Age Group Cross Country Championships (December 2007), USTAF National Team Cross Country Championships (December 2008), and USATF Open and Age Group Championships (February 2010)...site is also being considered for the NCAA Division II Cross Country Championships...course is 90 percent grass (short) with some dirt trail...allows for several vantage points for spectators during the race.

9:45 a.m.  Junior High 7th and 8th grade boys and girls (1.5 miles)
10:15 a.m. 9th Grade boys and girls (5,000m)
10:45 a.m. Collegiate Women (5,000m)
11:30 a.m. Collegiate Men (8,000m)
12:15 p.m. Junior Varsity High School Girls (5000m)
1:00 p.m.  Junior Varsity High School Boys (5,000m)
1:45 p.m.  High school Varsity Girls (5,000m)
2:30 p.m.  High school Varsity Boys (5,000m)

JULIAN LEADING THE WAY
Second-year Cougar coach Pete Julian came to Washington State in August 2009 after a highly successful coaching stint at Metro State in Denver...the 2010 incoming freshman class is his first fully-recruited class at WSU and one he claims is the most talented in the last two decades...volunteer assistant coach Tim Riley returns for his second season.
