Allard Leads Cougars in UNLV Spring Invitational

BOULDER CITY, Nev. - The Washington State women's golf team is currently in 18th place at the UNLV Spring Invitational. The team posted a 311 (+23) the first day at the par-72, 6,246-yard Boulder Creek Golf Club.

Sophomore Kristen Allard is leading the team with a first-round score of 74 (+2) and is currently tied for 29th. Allard is only one stroke away from the top-20, which would be her third top-25 finish of the season.

Freshman Ellen Park is currently in a tie for 66th with a 78 (+6) in the first round. Fellow freshman Emma Betland is one stroke behind her teammate with a 79 (+7).

Redshirt junior Allison Travis posted an 80 (+8) and freshman Ali Thompson carded an 81 (+9).

The tournament will continue tomorrow with tee times starting at 7:30 a.m.
