FIRST GLANCE
The Washington State women's basketball team (4-5) plays host to San Francisco (4-8) in the Tri-Cities Cougar Classic presented by Gesa Credit Union Saturday (Dec. 19), at the Toyota Center in Kennewick, Wash. Tip-off against the Dons is scheduled for 1:30 p.m.

The Cougars have won two of their last three games, though they will be looking to bounce back from a 79-53 loss to Portland Dec. 13. The Dons have lost five of their last six, including a 73-52 loss to Cal Poly this past Sunday.

The Tri-Cities Cougar Classic is a doubleheader with the Cougar men's basketball team, which will square off against Portland State at 4 p.m.

WSU AGAINST THE WCC
The Cougars' game against the Dons is the third game in December against a team from the West Coast Conference. WSU also squared off against Saint Mary's and Portland.

WSU boasts a 29-18 record against teams currently in the WCC, including a 13-9 mark in home games.

THE SERIES
WSU holds a 3-2 advantage over San Francisco in the all-time series, and has won each of the last three meetings after dropping the first two. After a nearly 24-year hiatus, the Cougars and Dons resumed the series last season, with the Cougars coming away with an 82-71 victory at San Francisco. WSU has won the only game played at home, downing the Dons 66-61, Feb. 19, 1984.

DAUGHERTY NEARING 600
WSU's meeting against San Francisco will be the 597th game of June Daugherty's head coaching career. Daugherty will reach 600 games as a head coach against Oregon (Jan. 3).

SCORE, GIVE, TAKE
Freshman guard KiKi Moore is one of only three players in the Pacific-10 Conference - and the only freshman - currently ranking in the league's top 10 in scoring (10th; 13.6), assists (Fifth; 3.8) and steals (First; 4.2). Sophomore guard Ashley Corral (USC) and senior guard Taylor Lilley (Oregon) are the other two.
