WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - Washington State sophomore guard April Cook and freshman guard KiKi Moore each garnered All-Pacific-10 Conference honors in a polling of the league's head coaches, Commissioner Larry Scott announced today.

Cook was named All-Pac-10 honorable mention for the second-straight year, and Moore was named both first-team Pac-10 All-Freshman and honorable mention Pac-10 All-Defense. Cook is the first Cougar to garner All-Pac-10 recognition in back-to-back years since Kate Benz was named honorable mention all-conference in both 2004-05 and 2005-06.

Cook leads WSU in scoring this season averaging 13.8 points per game, a mark that ranks 13th in the league. She was the first Cougar in nearly four years to earn Pac-10 Player of the Week honors (Feb. 1-8) following her 33-point performance against Arizona State (Feb. 6), leading WSU to its first victory over the Sun Devils in more than 13 years.

The Carson, Calif., native has scored 401 points in 2009-10, and is the first Cougar to score 400 points in back-to-back seasons since Jenni Ruff accomplished the feat during the 1994-95 and 1995-96 seasons. Cook scored 405 points as a freshman last year.

Moore, who was also named to the Pac-10 Media All-Freshman and Pac-10 Media All-Defensive First Teams yesterday, ranks second on the team in scoring at 12.1 points per game. She also leads the Pac-10 in steals (3.3 per game), currently ranking 10th-nationally, and ranks third in the Pac-10 in assists (3.6 per game).

The San Francisco native owns WSU's NCAA freshman record for steals in both a single game, recording eight twice, and in a single season (95).

Ninth-seeded WSU will square off against Arizona (No. 8) in the opening round of the State Farm Pac-10 Women's Basketball Tournament, Thursday. Tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m. at Galen Center in Los Angeles.
