PULLMAN - Join the Washington State University women's basketball team this Valentine's Day for its annual Pink Zone game to raise support and awareness for breast cancer. Sunday's tip-off against the Stanford Cardinal is scheduled for noon at Friel Court.
As part of the Women's Basketball Coaches Association's Pink Zone initiative, fans are asked to attend the game wearing pink to "Pink Out" Beasley Coliseum. Those wearing pink will pay just $2 each for general admission.
The first 250 fans will receive a special Washington State women's basketball "Pink Out" t-shirt sponsored by the Hope Heart Institute, Inland Imaging, Moscow Mountain Sports & Physical Therapy, Pullman Regional Hospital and St. Jude Medical Center.
In addition to the discounted ticket price for fans wearing pink, middle and junior high school students will receive free admission by showing a valid student ID card to the Beasley Coliseum ticket office, and all kids age 12-and-under receive a voucher for free popcorn.
WSU also opens its weekend homestand with California Friday (Feb. 12) at Friel Court. Tip-off between the Cougars and Golden Bears is scheduled for 6 p.m.
