Cougars Announce 2003 Football Schedule

PULLMAN, Wash. --- Washington State will begin its 2003 football schedule against Idaho Aug. 30 at Seahawks Stadium in Seattle, kicking off a 12-game slate that features nine bowl teams from the 2002 season.

The opener in the Emerald City will mark Bill Doba's debut as WSU head coach. The Cougars follow with road trips to Notre Dame and Colorado before rounding out the non-conference portion of the schedule with New Mexico at Martin Stadium Sept. 20.

The Cougars begin defense of their 2002 Pac-10 title at Autzen Stadium against Oregon Sept. 27. WSU will play host to Arizona for Homecoming Oct. 4 and Oregon State for Dad's Day Oct. 25. UCLA and Arizona State make trips to the Palouse Nov. 8 and Nov. 15, respectively.

Washington State's final three conference road trips are at Stanford Oct. 18, USC Nov. 1, and Washington for the annual Apple Cup Nov. 22.

Times have yet to be determined for the Idaho, Colorado, USC, and Washington games.
