Washington State's Kate Benz scored 11 points and added six rebounds in the Cougars' 59-40 loss to the Arizona State Sun Devils in Pacific-10 Conference women's basketball action, Saturday at Wells Fargo Arena.

Benz completed the regular season averaging 9.1 rebounds a game to become the first Cougar to capture the Pac-10 rebounding title. In addition, Benz's point effort was the 15th double-digit scoring game of the season for the sophomore from Portland, Ore.

Benz's closest competitor for the rebounding title, Oregon's Cathrine Kraayeveld, had five rebounds versus California to finish the regular season with an 8.5 average.

Up 7-4 nearly four minutes into the game, ASU scored nine consecutive points over an almost seven minute span to take a 16-4 lead with 9:30 remaining.
