WALNUT CREEK, Calif. -- Pacific-10 Conference outdoor track and field athlete of the week honors for the week of April 12-18, 2010:

Men's Track Athlete of the Week: Jeshua Anderson, WASHINGTON STATE (Jr., Woodland Hills, Calif.). Anderson won the men's Invitational 400m hurdles at the Mt. SAC Relays in a season-best and nation-leading time of 49.11 seconds. The defending NCAA and Pac-10 Champion is undefeated in intermediate hurdles this season.

Men's Field Athletes of the Week: ALEX WOLFF, OREGON (Jr., Newberg, Ore.). Wolff won the javelin with a personal-best throw of 240-8 to help lead No. 3 Oregon past UCLA 92-72 in Saturday's dual meet at Hayward Field. That mark ranks third in the nation and second in the Pac-10. His throw also moved him to No. 4 all-time at Oregon.

Women's Track Athlete of the Week: KATIE FOLLETT (Sr., Fort Collins, Colo.). Follett won the invitational heat of the 1,500-meters at the Mt. SAC Relays on Friday night and took over the NCAA lead with a time of 4:10.66. That run broke the Washington school record, and is the second-fastest in the world this year. Follett, the NCAA runner-up in the mile indoors, lowered her personal-best by more than four seconds in the victory. The seven-time All-American in cross country and track ranks second in the world behind only Kenya's Ann Karindi Mwangi who has run 4:09.41. She currently leads the NCAA by more than two seconds.

Women's Field Athlete of the Week: LAUREN CHAMBERS, USC (Fr., Acworth, Ga.). Chambers won the women's University/Open hammer throw competition at the Mt. SAC Relays with a U.S. Junior hammer throw record of 206-5 (62.93m). Chambers actually broke the record twice as her first throw was 203-7 (62.05), but before her implement was returned by the officials who had whisked it off to verify that it was legal, she broke the mark again with her back-up implement. Her mark leads the Pac-10 and ranks sixth in the nation.
