PULLMAN, Wash. - Washington State University Head Football Coach Paul Wulff announced Friday that longtime Cougar assistant coach Mike Levenseller will remain on the WSU sidelines as Wulff continues to build his coaching staff.

Earlier this week Wulff announced the additions of former Eastern Washington assistant coaches Todd Sturdy, Jody Sears, Travis Niekamp, Malik Roberson and Rich Rasmussen, while retaining current Cougar coach Steve Broussard. With seven positions filled, Wulff has two remaining positions to complete his staff.

"Levy is one of the best wide receivers coaches in the country and he is a Cougar through and through," said Wulff. "He knows this program, its traditions and history as well as anyone and will be a great resource for me moving forward."

Levenseller has been on the Cougar staff since the beginning of the 1992 season, when he began working with WSU's wide receivers. The past seven years he added offensive coordinator duties while still working day-to-day as the wide receivers position coach. Levenseller and eight other receivers he has coached comprise WSU's single-season top 10 receiving yardage list, while he has also coached five Cougars to 1,000-yard receiving seasons.
