PULLMAN, Wash. --- Washington State football fans will have at least one more opportunity to see quarterback Jason Gesser in action before his professional career begins next fall at the Capital One College Football All-Star Challenge, which will be broadcast by Fox Sports Super Bowl Sunday at 9:30 a.m.
Produced by Intersport, the event has become college football's ultimate skills competition, matching the nation's best players at quarterback, running back, and wide receiver. The event will take place at the Marine Corps Air Station in Miramar, Calif. Jan. 24 from 3-5 p.m.
Gesser will be joined by a cast of collegiate standouts in the fifth annual contest, including Rex Grossman and Taylor Jacobs of Florida, Brad Banks of Iowa, Charles Rogers of Michigan State, and Lee Suggs of Virginia Tech.
Gesser threw for 3,408 yards and 28 touchdowns while leading the Cougars to the Pac-10 title in 2002. The Honolulu, Hawaii, native owns the school's career passing yardage and touchdowns passes records.
