PULLMAN, Wash. - Timm Rosenbach's five-yard touchdown run with 9:06 to play capped a Washington State second-half comeback effort that gave the Cougars a 32-31 win over the Washington Huskies.

A blocked punt in the fourth quarter set-up WSU's game-winning touchdown. Shawn Landrum broke through untouched to block the punt and Jay Languein pounced on the ball at the Washington 13-yard line, setting up a four-play drive.

Trailing 28-16 at the half, WSU limited Washington to one field goal and just 93 yards total offense in the second half. Meanwhile, WSU scored a pair of touchdowns and a Jason Hanson field goal to provide the winning margin.

Rich Swinton fueled the second-half attack, rushing for 102 of his 155 yards during the final 30 minutes. Swinton scored from four yards out in the first half and added a two-yard scoring run in the third quarter en route to compiling his fifth straight 100-yard rushing effort and his sixth of the season.

Steve Broussard provided 66 yards on the ground in the first half, but missed most of the final two quarters with a pinched nerve in the neck.

Rosenbach, with 57 yards rushing and 148 yards passing, broke the WSU single-season passing record and bettered John Elway's Pacific-10 Conference record for total offense in a season.

Hanson, with two field goals (37 and 32 yards) and a pair of extra points, broke WSU's 11-game scoring record finishing with 85 points.
