THIS WEEK
After playing six-straight matches away from Pullman, the Washington State (7-3-1, 1-0-0 Pac-12) soccer team opens a five-match homestand against No. 1 Stanford, Friday, Sept. 30 at 3 p.m...Cougars host No. 21 California, Sunday, Oct. 2 at noon.

LAST WEEK
The Cougars lost 1-0 at then-No. 18 Santa Clara, Friday, Sept. 23...redshirt-freshman Gurveen Clair made 12 saves, tied for fifth on the Washington State single-match list...Cougars overcame a 1-0 halftime deficit and defeated USC 2-1, Sunday, Sept. 25...Rachael Doyle and Jocelyn Jeffers each scored a goal to give Washington State its first win at USC in school history.

COMEBACK COUGARS
Washington State has won four matches on the road this season despite trailing at halftime (Hawaii, Gonzaga, Idaho, USC)...prior to this season, the last time the Cougars won on the road when they were behind at intermission was Sept. 2, 2005 at No. 11 Tennessee (trailed 1-0, won 3-2 in overtime).

WASHINGTON STATE HEAD COACH Matt Potter
Currently in his ninth season, Cougar Head Coach Matt Potter has amassed a school-record 83 victories...only Washington State mentor to guide the program to back-to-back NCAA postseason appearances (2008 and 2009).

Washington State freshmen have combined for 51 starts this season, including 11 by redshirt-freshman goalkeeper Gurveen Clair...true freshman have contributed five goals, including two game-winners, and four assists to account for 30 percent of the Cougars' points...Clair is 7-3-1 with a pair of shutouts.
