Blessing Ufodiama is the USA women's leader in the women's triple jump after leaping 46-feet, 1 1/2 inches (14.06m) for second place at the 2011 Prefontaine Classic meet last weekend in Eugene.
Ufodiama, from Long Beach, Calif., competed at Washington State track and field from 2001 through 2004 and recorded the second-best triple jump all-time, best indoor mark all-time as a senior, a leap of 42- 3 1/2 (12.82m) in Lincoln, Nebraska. She competed in the 2008 US Olympic Trials and finished 21st with a triple jump of 43-0 1/2 (13.12m).
Look for Ufodiama at the 2011 USA National Championships, June 23-26 at Hayward Field in Eugene.
