KANEAHE, Hawaii - Following are the first day results from the Dr. Donnis Thompson Rainbow Wahine Invitational at the par-72, 5,829 yard Kaneohe Klipper Golf Course.

After the first day's action, the Cougars hold sixth position after recording a two-round total of 639. WSU is just two strokes behind Kent State, which is ranked No. 31 in the latest Golfstat poll, for fifth place. Defending champion Oklahoma State leads the tournament with a first day total of 609.

Heading into tomorrow's final round, senior Tasha Browner is tied for 11th after recording a two-round total of 156 (+12). Browner is six shots off the pace set by three players - Oklahoma State's Emma Zackrisson, Tennessee's Tai Perry, and Texas Christian's Drae Ward - who all enter tomorrow's final 18 holes at 150 (+6).

The freshmen duo of Jay-Lee Longbottom and Kim Welch are tied for 20th with a 36-hole total of 159 (+15).

Junior Donna Bell is tied for 57th with a two-round total of 170 and sophomore Jackie Stevens is in 62nd place with a 172 total.

Tomorrow's final round will begin with a 7:30 a.m. Hawaiian Time shotgun start.
