Final Results.

Sophomore Emma Betland shot a 3-over 75 to lead Washington State University during final-round play Wednesday at the 2011 Bruin Wave Invitational.

Betland's final-round score included nine pars and three birdies as she matched teammate Kristen Allard's opening-day 75 for WSU's low round of the tournament. Betland finished the three-day tournament tied for 53rd with a total of 236 (+20).

As a team the Cougars shot a final-round score of 314, nine strokes better than Tuesday as they finished in 15th place with a score of 956. Co-host UCLA cruised to the team title as they fired the best round of the day with a 3-under 285. The Bruins winning total of 860 was 20 strokes better than runner-up Arizona.

Allard, a junior, finished Wednesday with a 76, giving her a three-day total of 237, tied for 56th. Allard ended her round on a high note with a birdie and eight pars over her final nine holes. Freshman Mallory Kent shot an 82 Wednesday and ended the tournament tied for 67 th with a score of 241.

Sophomore Ali Thompson also had an 82 for her final round as she finished 72nd, two strokes behind Kent at 243. Sophomore Ellen Park closed with an 81, a nine-stroke improvement from Tuesday, as her three-day total of 254 tied her for 81st.

Playing as an individual was senior Allison Travis, who shot an 89 for the final round. Travis had a total score of 253 and finished 80th.

WSU is next in action March 14-15 when they travel to Kane'ohe, Hawai'I for the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational.
