THIS WEEK: The Cougar tennis team will head to Seattle for their final road trip match to take on No. 22 Washington Friday, April 15 at 1:30 p.m....Washington State will then return home to square off against the No. 29 Oregon Ducks Sunday, April 17 at noon.

WSU HEAD COACH Lisa Hart ON THIS WEEKEND: "We have been preparing all year to play Washington and Oregon. These two matches are very special to all of our players as we will say goodbye to our three seniors, Nora Gaal, Orsolya Sallai, and Chris Martinez who have been outstanding student-athletes for our program for the past four years."

COUGARS CLIMB ALL-TIME LIST: Senior Nora Gaal sits in sixth place on the all-time career singles victories list with 70...Gaal is one victory away from tying former teammate Lorena Arias who sits in the fifth spot with 71 career singles victories...fellow senior Chris Martinez also continues to elevate herself up the list...she has 69 career singles victories which is good enough for seventh on the all-time list.

TOUGH COMPETITION: The Cougars have faced 13 ranked opponents out of the 21 teams they have met in dual match play.

LAST TIME OUT: Washington State fumbled in its two matches against No. 27 Arizona State and No. 50 Arizona...the Cougars fell in both matches 7-0...Ekaterina Burduli came close to pulling out what would have been her third victory over a ranked opponent this year when she faced Arizona's No. 40 Dianne Hollands...the match went into a three set tie-breaker 6-4, 3-6, 7-6 (7-5).

SENIOR DAY: Sunday's match against the Oregon Ducks will be the last regular season competition for three Cougars...Nora Gaal, Chris Martinez and Orsolya Sallai will be recognized at the match for their dedication to Cougar tennis for the last four years.

TENNIS MERCHANDISE: If you wish to purchase Cougar Tennis merchandise contact the tennis office at (509)335-0308.

FRESHMAN IMPACT: After joining the Cougar family in January Ekaterina Burduli has already begun to make her mark on Cougar tennis...upset No. 6 Dea Sumantri of Washington March 20...she currently sits at No. 71 nationally in singles.
