PULLMAN, Wash. - Washington State University junior guard Jan-Michael Thomas has been named to the men's basketball NABC All-District 14 second team announced Wednesday.
Thomas, a Pac-10 Newcomer of the Year candidate, set a school record with 87 three pointers this season and leads the Cougars (10-18 overall, 4-13 Pac-10) in scoring at 14.2 points per game. The Inglewood, Calif., native ranks third in the Pac-10 in three-point field goal percentage (.412) and fourth in free throw percentage (.837).
District 14 consists of the states of Alaska, Oregon and Washington and Northern California. Thomas is the first Cougar to be selected to District 14 team since Mark Hendrickson and Isaac Fontaine were first team members in 1996.
Washington State concludes its season Saturday at Washington.
