PULLMAN, Wash. - Washington State University Director of Athletics Jim Sterk announced Tuesday the Cougars have sold more combined football season tickets and sports passes than any year in school history.
"We really want to thank the tremendous support of our students, alumni and friends," said Sterk. "Martin Stadium and the Pullman campus have always been a great place to experience college football. With the renovation going on right now it will become even more of a destination."
WSU has sold 13,993 season tickets and 11,533 sports passes, totaling 25,526 seats for each home football game. The total surpasses the previous high of 25,440 during the 2004-05 school year.
The season ticket total ranks third while the total number of sports passes sold are the most in school history. Sports passes are purchased by WSU students that allow them admittance to all Cougar home athletic events.
Tickets still available for the three remaining Cougar home games are available online at www.wsucougars.com or by phone at 1-800-GO-COUGS.
