PULLMAN, Wash. - Washington State University football single-game tickets for home games will go on sale Saturday, Aug. 2, at 10 a.m., WSU Director of Ticket Sales Dan Meyer announced Friday.

"This special on-line pre-sale opportunity will extend throughout the weekend at www.wsucougars.com," says Meyer. "Phone sales and in-person sales at the new WSU Athletic Ticket Office will begin Monday, Aug. 4, at 10 a.m."

Tickets for the November 22 Apple Cup are currently available to season ticket holders only. Should any Apple Cup tickets remain unsold, they will go on sale via the WSU Athletic Web site Saturday, Sept. 13, at 10 a.m.

"We are extremely excited about the opportunity to provide our fans with this pre-sale opportunity via our internet sales channel," Meyer said. "We anticipate our customers will appreciate the ease with which they can purchase tickets this weekend."

All tickets on sale via WSU's Web site will be given on a first-come, first-serve basis, and patrons will be offered the best seats available to them at that time.

With a loaded six-game home schedule, Meyer feels the demand for tickets is expected to be strong.

"Season ticket sales are already pacing to be among the best five seasons in school history, with over a month remaining before the home opener," said Meyer.

WSU kicks off its Pullman schedule at renovated Martin Stadium against California ($40), Sept. 6. The Cougars then face Jerry Glanville's Portland State Vikings ($40) and the Oregon Ducks ($50) on back-to-back weekends, Sept. 20 and 27, respectively. USC is the sole Martin Stadium opponent in October ($50), Oct. 18.

Dad's Weekend features the Arizona Wildcats ($40) for a Nov. 8 matchup before WSU concludes its home season against Washington ($60) Nov. 22, in the Apple Cup presented by Boeing.

To ensure the best possible seating, Cougar fans are reminded that season football tickets are $280 per seat, with great locations still available. Family plans for two adults and two children, or one adult and three children, are $585.

Tickets for the Aug. 30 Cougar Gridiron Classic presented by Washington's Beef Producers, featuring the Cougars versus Oklahoma State at Seattle's Qwest Field, are also currently on sale. Ticket prices range from $7 to $55 and are available online at www.wsucougars.com, by phone at 1-800-GO-COUGS or through all Ticketmaster outlets.
