NCAA SECOND ROUND: The Washington State Cougars, (No. 13 Associated Press /ESPN/USA Today) will face Vanderbilt in the second round of the 2007 NCAA Tournament in Sacramento, Calif., March time is 2:40 p.m. and will air on CBS...Cougars are the No. 3 seed in East Region...Commodores are the No. 6 seed.

COUGARS DEFEAT GOLDEN EAGLES: Washington State's 70-54 victory over Oral Roberts in the first round of the NCAA Tournament was the first for the Cougars in postseason play since a 92-73 win over Gonzaga, March 14, 1996 in the first round of the NIT...first win in the NCAA Tournament for WSU since a 62-52 win over Weber State, March 17, 1983 in Boise...Ivory Clark scored a team-high 19 points and added six rebounds and a careerhigh tying five blocks...Taylor Rochestie added 15 points, five rebounds and four assists...Derrick Low and Kyle Weaver chipped in 12 and 10 points, respectively...Weaver pulled down a team-high eight rebounds.

Tony Bennett ACCOLADES: Washington State Head Coach Tony Bennett has led the Cougars 25 wins this season, tied for second most in school history...named Pacific-10 Conference, United States Basketball Writers Association District 9, National Association of Basketball Coaches District 14, Pacific-10 and Basketball Times national Coach of the Year.

MORE BENNETT: Tony Bennett is in his first season at the helm of the Cougar program...fourth year with WSU...assistant coach in 2003-04...associate head coach in 2004-05 and 2005-06...assistant coach at Wisconsin from 2000-03...became the first head coach at a current Pacific-10 institution to start 7-0 in his inaugural campaign at the school since Stanford's Robert W. Burnett was 9-0 in 1951- 52...Bennett's accomplishment is tied for the third best start in a debut season at Pacific-10 school in the post-World War II era.

LOW AND WEAVER GARNER HONORS: Junior guards Derrick Low and Kyle Weaver were named All-Pacific-10 Conference and National Association of Basketball Coaches District 14 First Team...Low named first team for District 9 by the United States Basketball Writers Association...Weaver named MVP of the Pac-10 by time since 1995-96 Washington State has placed a pair of student-athletes on the allconference team.

ABOUT VANDERBILT: The sixth-seeded Commodores improved to 21-11 with a 77-44 victory over 11thseeded George Washington, Thursday...Shan Foster led Vanderbilt with a game-high 18 points...Derrick Byars leads Vanderbilt with 16.7 points per game...Commodores are among the others receiving votes in both major polls...Saturday's game will be the first meeting on the hardwood between Washington State and Vanderbilt.
