COUGAR RECAP - WASHINGTON 81, WSU 49: Freshman forward Marisa Stotler scored 19 points and picked up seven rebounds...the Washington Huskies, however, took a commanding 81-49 win over the Cougars Saturday in Pullman...Kate Benz added six rebounds to her career total...Amanda DuRocher added ten points...Washington was led by Cameo Hicks' 13 points...Jill Bell and Cheri Craddock each recorded 12 points for the Huskies...WSU shot 65 percent from the free throw line.

A LOOK AT THE DUCKS: Oregon took a 20-point upset win over No. 22/22 California Feb. 15 but fell to No. 9/10 Stanford 74-56 Feb. 17...Eleanor Haring scored 17 points against the Golden Bears and 19 points against the Cardinal...Haring is the Ducks' leading scorer at 13.3 points per game and became the 20th Duck to reach 1,000 career points Saturday...Jessie Shetters owns a team-leading 7.9 rebounds per game and ranks third in the Pac-10 in rebounding...as a team, Oregon ranks second in the Pac-10 in free throw percentage and are shooting 73 percent from the line...the Ducks are also the top three-point shooting team in the conference at 37 percent...freshman Taylor Lilley is the Pac-10's top three-point shooter as she is 54 percent from beyond the arc.
A LOOK AT THE BEAVERS: Oregon State took No. 22 California to two overtime periods Saturday before losing 67-61 in Corvallis...OSU's Casey Nash scored 25 points against the Golden Bears and is the team's leading scorer...Nash is also the leading scorer in the Pac-10 at 20.3 points per game...she has scored 20 or more points five times this season...Judie Lomax is averaging 11.4 points per game and a team-leading 7.8 rebounds per game...as a team, the Beavers rank third in the conference in free throw percentage, shooting 71 percent from the line...Lomax ranks fourth in the Pac-10 in rebounding while leading the league in field goal percentage (67 percent).
BENZ'S BOARDS: Kate Benz's six rebounds against Washington brings her career total to 871...the 6-foot-2 forward is now only five rebounds shy of becoming WSU's all-time rebound leader...Benz moved into sole possession of second place Feb. 3 against Arizona State...she is currently the active career rebound leader in the Pac-10 and is tenth in the conference with 6.7 rpg...Benz also needs just 18 more points to become the 11th women's basketball player in WSU history to reach 1,000 career points...she moved into 12th all-time in career scoring Saturday with four points against the Huskies...if Benz reaches both milestones, she would be only the second player in WSU women's basketball history to reach 1,000 points and 800 rebounds...Cassandra Overby (1981-84) is the only Cougar to reach this milestone thus far.
