LEWISTON, Idaho - The Washington State women's tennis team took care of business cruising to a 6-0 win versus Boise State at the Lewiston Tennis Center Saturday.

Tennis action moved to Lewiston, Idaho due to inclement weather conditions in Pullman. The 40th-ranked Cougars dropped to No. 45 Arizona earlier in the week and the visiting Broncos fell victim to the rebounding effect caused by the emotional loss.

"We were ready to take out the frustrations of the Arizona match on somebody," WSU coach Cari Groce said. "We went out there and played hard."

The Cougars swept singles play at every level and 38th-ranked Erica Perkins (Seattle, Wash.) showed this dominance defeating Boise State's Pia-Lena Ander 6-2, 6-2 at No. 1 singles.

The 48th-ranked doubles combination of Perkins and Sarah Burrows (Lakewood, Colo.) defeated 50th-ranked Ander and Beau Jones 8-6.

No. 15 Arizona State is up next for the Cougars Sunday, April 4 at 10 a.m.

"ASU will be a tough match for us, but we can play them a good match," Groce concluded.
