DAVIS’ HIGH SCHOOL CAREER

Graduated from Skyline High, where he was coached by John Beam…SENIOR year named to the All-Bay Area first team and Bay Area Best of the Best team…won Bay Area player of the week honors three times…started at defensive end and tight end…led Skyline to a 12-0 record, scoring nine touchdowns…team won the Silver Bowl Championship.

DAVIS’ NEW MEXICO STATE CAREER

FRESHMAN (1998-99): First of three season’s for head coach Tony Samuel’s Aggies…saw action in eight of team’s 11 games, missing contests against Nevada, Utah and Boise State due to injuries…saw action on special teams and as a backup linebacker…eight tackles, two each against Georgia Tech, UTEP and North Texas, and Texas. SOPHOMORE (1999-00): Played in 10 games as a linebacker and member of several special team units…returned an interception 27 yards for a touchdown against New Mexico-Highlands…finished with eight tackles, five of them unassisted…had a season-high two tackles at Army.

JUNIOR (2000-01): Played in all 11 games for the Aggies with four starts…made 33 tackles and two sacks (-13 yards)…had six primary tackles against Georgia and five against South Carolina…finished with 15 unassisted tackles and 18 assists…Aggies finished the season 3-8.
