Larry Beck, a former Cougar basketball player, has been added to the National Alliance of Basketball Leagues' Hall of Fame.
A 1953 graduate of South Bend High School, South Bend, Wash., Beck played for Coach Jack Friel's Cougar hoops teams from 1955-57. He was selected to the Pacific Coast Conference first team in 1956 and 1957, and was tabbed for All-America honors in 1957.
The Cougars' scoring leader for three seasons, Beck also led the team in rebounds two seasons, and in both field goal percentage and free throw percentage one season. He was given the Jud Heathcote Award for Inspiration in 1957.
During his post-collegiate career, Beck played with the Seattle Bakers and the Los Angeles Jets as a member of the NABL.
He currently resides in SeaTac, Wash.
