WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - Washington State University men's basketball will face the Arizona, Los Angeles and Oregon schools, as well as Washington in home-and-home series highlighting the 2011-12 Pacific-12 Conference schedule, the Pac-10 announced Thursday. The Cougars will take on their other four conference foes once each.

The league announced the 2011-12 league schedule, as well as the 10-year rotation model for scheduling. As in previous years, the conference schedule is comprised of 18 games for each institution and will maintain the travel partner in a non-divisional format. The annual schedule will include games against an institution's traditional rival both home and away. In addition, each school will play six other opponents both home and away (for two consecutive years), and four opponents on a single-game basis (two at home and two away). The single-play opponents will rotate every two years.

WSU will open up the 2011-12 Pac-12 season at home hosting Oregon (Dec. 29) and Oregon State (Dec. 31). The Cougs will face the Ducks on the road Saturday, Feb. 11 and the Beavers Thursday, Feb. 9. Washington State's first conference road trip will be to the league's newest additions, facing Utah (Jan. 5) at Salt Lake City, and Colorado (Jan. 7) at Boulder. The early-conference road trip will be the only time the Cougars will face the Utes and Buffaloes in the regular season.

Washington State faces Washington Saturday, Jan. 14 in the first of two meetings with its traditional rival. The Cougars and Huskies meet at Friel Court in WSU's home finale Saturday, Feb. 25. The Cougars will take on California and Stanford just once in the 2011-12 regular season, hosting the Cardinal, Thursday, Jan. 19 and the Golden Bears, Saturday, Jan. 21.

The Cougars will face the rest of their Pac-12 opponents twice. They take on Arizona State (away, Jan. 26/home Feb. 18), Arizona (away, Jan. 28/home, Feb. 16), USC (home, Feb. 2/away, March 3) and UCLA (home, Feb. 4/away, March 1).

The Pac-12 Tournament will be held Wednesday, March 7 through Saturday, March 10 at Staples Center in Los Angeles. The women's schedule is a mirror of the men's schedule. While opponents for both the men's and women's schedules have been established, game dates may be adjusted for television.
