PULLMAN, Wash. - Washington State basketball fans are invited to take a peek into the next century when the men's and women's teams host Basketball Bash '99 as part of the Dad's Weekend festivities. The Bash is slated to get underway at 11 a.m. Saturday at Beasley Coliseum.
The interactive Basketball Bash '99 will be an opportunity for fans to get an up close and personal look at WSU's men's and women's teams. Both teams will be introduced, participate in drills and compete against each other in a three-point shooting contest.
Fans will have an opportunity to compete in contests, including "Hollywood Squares," featuring Cougars' Athletic Director Rick Dickson as well as player and coaches from both squads. T-shirts, mini-balls, men's and women's season tickets and other prizes will be given away as part of the Bash.
Washington State's two newest coaches, Jenny Przkewas and Paul Graham will address the crowd and members of the men's team will compte in a slam dunk contest to cap the event.
Basketball Bash '99 is free of charge and will last approximately 60 minutes. Free coffee and doughnut holes will be available to all fans. The WSU-Oregon State Dad's Weekend football game follows the bash and is slated for a 1 p.m. kickoff.
