RS-JUNIOR (2012-2013) – Was one of just two Cougars to start all 32 games…averaged 26.4 minutes, 6.2 points, 6 rebounds, and 1.8 assists…ranked second on team in rebounds, third in assists and blocks, and fifth in steals…tied for 17th in the Pac-12 in conference-only games with 6.1 rebounds an outing…led WSU in rebounding nine times…started season with a career-high 12 rebounds at home against Eastern Washington (Nov. 10)…attempted and made first 3-pointer of career at Pepperdine (Nov. 16), going 1-for-2 from beyond the arc…made a career-high 6 field goals and recorded a career-high 3 blocks at home against Idaho (Nov. 28)…dished out a career-high 6 assists against Oregon State (Jan. 26)…recorded the only double-double of his career with 13 points and 10 rebounds against No. 8 Arizona (Feb. 2), draining a career-high 3 3-pointers…matched his career-high with 12 rebounds against USC (Feb. 7)…tied his career high with 6 assists against UCLA (Feb. 9)…played a career-high 38 minutes at home against Oregon State (Feb. 13)…came one point shy of a double-double against No. 23 Oregon (Feb. 16) with 10 rebounds and 9 points…matched his career high with 3 blocks at home against UCLA (March 6)…tied his career high with 3 3’s at Washington (March 3) en route to 11 points…finished season scoring a career-high 19 points and matched his career high with 6 made field goals against Washington (March 13).

 

RS-SOPHOMORE (2011-2012) – Appeared in 35 of the team’s 37 games…scored eight points in back-to-back games at Portland (Nov. 20) and against Oklahoma in Anaheim (Nov. 24)…scored a then-career-high nine points against Oregon State in Spokane (Dec. 31)…in the next meeting with Oregon State in Corvallis (Feb. 9), had career highs with 14 points and nine rebounds in 24 minutes…played a career-high 26 points and scored seven points against Oregon State in the Pac-12 Tournament (March 7)…had second-most dunks on the team with 13.

 

CITRUS COLLEGE (2010-11) – Played one year at Citrus College in Glendora Calif., under head coach Chris Victor…averaged 12.0 points and 6.7 rebounds in 23.6 minutes per game…ranked second on the team in scoring and led the Fighting Owls in rebounding, blocked shots (1.6 bpg) and field goal percentage (.655, 152-for-232)…started 31 of the 32 games he played in…Citrus College finished 27-6 overall, including a 9-3 conference mark, advancing to the State tournament before falling to San Francisco City, 83-81 in the championship game…grabbed a career-high 13 rebounds Jan. 12 against Santa Monica College in an overtime victory and scored a career-high 21 points to lead his team over Irvine Valley College in the regional finals.

 

CAL STATE FULLERTON (2009-10) – Used redshirt season.

 

HIGH SCHOOL – Attended four different high schools…as a SENIOR helped lead East Bakersfield High School to a 14-12 record under head coach Milt Henderson…averaged 18.5 points, 10.5 rebounds, 2.7 blocks and 2.6 assists…shot 54 percent from the floor, 37 percent (14-for-38) from beyond the 3-point arc and 70 percent from the free throw line. 

 

PERSONAL – Born Davon Shelton, April of 1991 in Whittier, Calif…parents Davon and Lashanda Shelton...younger brother Dashawn…uncle Lonnie Shelton starred in basketball at Oregon State and played 10 years in the NBA…uncle Damion Shelton played at Sacramento State and professional football…cousin LJ played for the Cleveland Browns of the NFL…cousins Marlon (Washington), Tim (San Diego State) and Titus Shelton (Cal Poly) all played collegiate basketball…enjoys bowling…majoring in Humanities at WSU.
