PRIOR TO WSU – Earned one letter in basketball at Bellevue College under head coach Jeremy Eggers during the 2010-11 season…averaged 17.7 points and 8.8 rebounds per game, while shooting .624 from the field…earned NWAACC Second Team North Region and was named North Region Freshman of the Year…prior to attending Bellevue College, focused on baseball career as he spent five years in the Kansas City Royal’s farm system…played Rookie Ball for Burlington of the Appalachian League in 2009 and then at the A level in both Burlington (2010) and Kane County (2011) of the Midwest League…made 38 appearances as a right-handed pitcher…was drafted in the 31st round of the 2007 MLB June Amateur Draft.

HIGH SCHOOL – Earned three letters apiece in both baseball and basketball at Eastlake High School…played basketball under head coach Richard Belcher, earning captain honors as both a junior and senior in 2006 and ’07, respectively… as a sophomore, averaged 12 points and 10 rebounds per game en route to earning KingCo 4A All-League Honorable Mention accolades…earned team top rebounder award…as a junior, averaged 17 points and 10 rebounds a game, earning KingCo 4A All-Legaue First Team honors and the Wolves’ co-team MVP…was named the KingCo 4A League Co-MVP as a senior, along with first team all-league honors…averaged 24 points and 12.5 rebounds per game and was named WIBCA 4A State Player of the Year…was named to the Seattle PI All-Area First Team…on the baseball diamond, served as baseball captain under head coach J.T. d’Amico as a senior…earned all-conference honorable mention accolades as a sophomore and first team accolades as a junior and senior…was named second team all-State as a senior and a Rawlings preseason All-American.

PERSONAL – Born Keaton Wallace Hayenga, July of 1988, in Renton, Wash…father Jon is an electrical engineer and played baseball at North Idaho College, mother Yvonne Hayenga…has two younger sisters, Kristen and Karman…when not on the court, enjoys playing golf, target shooting and video games…plans on pursuing a degree in sport management at Washington State.
