SCHAFER'S WSU CAREER
JUNIOR (2001): Named to UNLV Hard Rock Thanksgiving Classic All-Tournament team...came on strong at the net at end of junior season...saw significant playing time at UCLA and USC, subbing in for an ailing Bautre...led team in kills at both ASU and Arizona (25 kills)...started again at Washington...2.89 kpg is third-best on team...3.23 points per game is third-best...ended season with double-figure kills in seven of eight matches...named to 2001 Pac-10 All-Academic honorable mention team...spent spring 2002 drills at setter for third year.

SOPHOMORE (2000): Spent spring drills and spring competition at setter...saw some setting early in season when WSU ran a 6-2 offense...second on team as server with 28 aces, 0.31 apg., (9th, Pac-10)...second on team with 3.35 kills per game and 2.97 digs per game (9th, Pac-10)...hammered career-high 27 kills and hit .512 (13 digs, five blocks) in win over Oregon State...slammed home 24 kills (.265) and 17 digs in Stanford win...named to 2000 All-Pac-10 honorable mention team...named to 2000 Pac-10 All-Academic honorable mention team.

FRESHMAN (1999): Joined team during first weekend of competition after playing on Canadian National Junior team at World Junior Championships in August...had a career-high 15 kills in three games vs. Washington in Pullman...earned first starting role against Oregon State and led team with 11 kills and hit .375...always came off bench ready to play...played setter the entire spring with solid jump-setting skills.

SCHAFER'S HIGH SCHOOL CAREER Participated in volleyball, basketball and track while attending Aden Bowman High School...as a freshman played on junior volleyball, basketball and track teams...was named high school's Grade 9 Female Athlete of the Year...was the city champion in both the shot put and discus...during her sophomore years, moved up to the senior teams...selected Aden Bowman's Grade 10 Female Athlete of the Year...repeated as city champ in shot and discus...junior year basketball and volleyball.....placed first in discus, second in shot put and third in javelin at Saskatoon High School League championship meet...named Grade 11 Female Athlete of the Year...as a senior, volleyball team placed second in league...named league's volleyball co-MVP...basketball team was undefeated in league, placed second in provincial final...earned MVP honors at the Canadian Juvenile National Club Championships as her team, RCVC Impact, won the gold medal...also competed on the Canadian National Junior Women's Team at the World Junior Championships during the summer of 1999.
