BARCUS'S WSU CAREER
SOPHOMORE (2004): Averaged 1.98 kills per game, third on team...averaged 2.10 kpg in conference matches...opened season with a career-high 15 kills (.323) and three blocks against UNLV...had 15 kills (.522) and 6 blocks in win over Gonzaga...second best blocker on team with 0.88 blocks per game average...had 6 blocks at No. 2 USC, 8 blocks vs. No. 1 Washington, and 6 blocks vs. No. 6 USC...against No. 22 Arizona, landed 7 kills with 1 error on 10 attacks for .600 hpct...season-best eight blocks and career-high 18.5 points in No. 1 UW match 11/5...her .219 hitting percentage is second on team.

REDSHIRT FRESHMAN (2003): Starter all season...second on heat and sixth-best in Pac-10 with 1.16 blocks per game average...tallied 10 blocks four times - against Wichita State, Loyola Marymount, Oregon State and UCLA...had 13 kills and hit .423 against Idaho...served up four aces against Arizona...best match was 10 kills, .375 hitting percentage, and 10 blocks in win over No. 22 Loyola Marymount...third on team in aces with 25 and 0.23 sapg.

FRESHMAN (2002): Saw action in four of the Cougars first 10 games and had four blocks...back pain caused her to stop playing...granted a medical hardship so this season became a redshirt season...participated in spring 2003 conditioning and practice.

Highly decorated outstanding athlete and student at Lakeside High where she earned eight letters playing volleyball for coach Kara Moffat and on the basketball court for coach Lisa Schultz...two-time Gatorade Volleyball Player of the Year for the state of Washington (2001 and 2002)...during her four seasons of volleyball, the Eagles were the state 2A champions three times after placing third her freshman year...she was named MVP of the state tournament twice...FRESHMAN year named to second team All-Great Northern League for volleyball and first team for basketball...hoops team won league title...as a SOPHOMORE, volleyball won league title...coaches voted her MVP...basketball team took league title and finished seventh at state...named first team all-league and all-state...JUNIOR year Eagles claim league title and rolled up a 25-0 record...repeated on all-league first team and co-MVP at state...same year basketball team went undefeated at 26-0...named all-league first team and MVP of state tournament...SENIOR year capped a great prep career...named league and state MVP in volleyball...basketball team won league title and placed third in state with 25-1 record...named Seattle Times State 2A Girls Basketball Player of the Year...selected to USA Today All-America prep team...played on the Spokane Splash club team for coach Wade Benson...team finished 18th at both 2001 and 2002 Volleyball Festival.
