PULLMAN, Wash. - Washington State University Head Coach Lisa Hart has signed Anastacia Vasyukhina to a National Letter of Intent, it was announced Wednesday.
Vasyukhina, a native of Moscow, Russia, plans to enroll for the start of the fall semester, 2014.
"Anastacia brings a tremendous work ethic to Pullman and will be a great addition to our program,” said Hart. “She possesses a big serve, has a strong all-around game, is an excellent student and will fit it great with the other players on the team. We are very excited she has joined the Cougar family.”
Vasyukhina is a standout junior tennis player in Russia, capturing multiple national-level tournament titles. She attended the CSKA Moscow Tennis Club and is ranked among the top 100 players in the country with wins over top-50 ranked ITF player Anastasiya Komardina, as well as Ralina Kalimullina, ranked No. 25 in Russia.
