RS SENIOR (Fall 2006): Teed off in 10 tournaments for the Cougars, including the Pac-10 Championships...earned Pac-10 first team All-Academic honors for the fourth consecutive year...shot a career-low single-round score of 66 in the third round of the Pacific Coast Intercollegiate and finished tied for third in the tournament...his combined three-round score in the same tournament (204) was tied for WSU's best all-time three-round score when he left WSU...finished tied for fourth in the Thunderbird Invite with a 3-under 138...tallied four total top-25 finishes along with his two top-10s...tied for 41st at the Pac-10 Championships...12 career top-10 finishes ranked tied for third on WSU's all-time list upon his departure from school.
RS JUNIOR (2005-06): Competed in all five fall tournaments for the Cougars with a 71.7 scoring average...captured four top 10 finishes to go along with two top 25 finishes... Opened up the Season at the Northwest Collegiate Classic with two consecutive under par rounds (71-70) to finish in a tie for 25th...tied for 9th at the Cardinal Intercollegiate...lowest round as a Cougar, 67(-4), came during the first round at the Del Walker Intercollegiate...the round tied the first round low score...Finished the Event tied for eighth...Has sole possession of 4th place on WSU's all time top 10 finishes list with 10... averaged 69.5 strokes a round at the Thunderbird Invite finishing tied for third at (-5)...In the WA Winter Championship he tied for ninth at the tough Washington National course in Auburn, WA.
RS SOPHOMORE (2004-05): Captured Pacific Northwest Amateur Championship in July 2005...defeated Travis Andrews 4 and 3 to capture title...was 1 down through 25 holes but won four straight holes to go 3 up after 29 holes...tied for fourth at the Wolf Pack Classic with a two-round total of 140 (-4)...sixth career top 10 finish...earned All-Pac-10 Academic First Team honors.
RS FRESHMAN (2003-04): Jumped onto the scene in collegiate debut with a ninth place tie at the Mean Green Invitational...recorded a tie for fifth place at the Husky Invitational...placed seventh at the Northwest Collegiate Classic by firing a second round 68 to finish with a 4-under 212...tied for eighth at the Turtle Bay Intercollegiate...fired a 3-under 213 to finish tied for 25th at the Barona Collegiate Cup...tied for eighth at the Inland Collegiate...five top 10 finishes tied for the third highest total ever for a Cougar in a single season...tied for 12th on WSU's all-time season scoring average list with a 74.3...first on WSU's all-time list for scoring average as a freshman.
Earned three varsity letters in golf under Bulldogs Head Coach James Brown...helped lead team to district title as a sophomore...earned first team all-conference as a junior...finished individually in sixth place at districts as a junior...won AAU Nationals as a junior...won Tri-City Amateur as a junior...team-captain senior year.
Jordan Kenneth Madison...born Dec. 15, 1983, at Richland, Wash....parents Mitch and Deborah Madison...both parents graduated from WSU in 1975...uncle Chuck Madison was a member of the WSU track team as a javelin thrower, and graduated from WSU in 1973...uncle Guy Madison graduate from WSU in 1978...uncle Jay Covington played football for New Mexico State-Highlands...grandpa J.D. Covington coached football at Richland High School and is a member of the Washington High School Coaches Hall of Fame...carried a 3.878 GPA through high school and was a member of the National Honor Society...top ranked male in class...received Superintendent's Award for Exemplary Effort for Academic Achievement...member of Key Club...enjoys golf, collecting Michael Jordan memorabilia and golf trinkets...business management and operations major and Spanish minor at WSU.
