PULLMAN, Wash. - Michael Anderson has signed a National Letter of Intent to compete in men's golf at Washington State University, Cougar Head Coach Walt Williams announced, Wednesday.

A native of Phoenix, Anderson is a four-year letterwinner at Mountain Pointe High School, member of the National Honor Society and carries a 3.50 prep grade point average.

Anderson was selected all-city, all-region and all-state each of the last two seasons. He earned a top 10 finish at the PING Arizona Junior Masters tournament in both 2009 and 2010.

"Michael is a fantastic player and comes from a great family," Williams said. "I saw him play at the Hogan Cup in Portland (Ore.) where he represented the state of Arizona very well. He has won virtually every high school invitational in Arizona and we are thrilled to have him."
