COLUMBIA, Mo. - The Washington State men's golf team is in third place with 18 holes to play at the Mizzou COG Intercollegiate being played at The Club at Old Hawthorne.
The Cougars are 1-over and four shots back of Austin Peay. Missouri, the tournament host, is 19-under par. Only Cal Poly (+6) is within double-digit strokes of Washington State.
"Our good was good and our bad was bad," Cougar Head Coach Hank Frame, Sang Lee and Michael Anderson all played great. As a team, we need to be under control tomorrow."
The Cougars made 39 birdies and four eagles during the first-two rounds. Frame is tied for fifth at 3-under after shooting 69 and 72, Monday. Sang Lee (-2) is tied for eighth following scores of 70 and 72. Anderson (+1) backed up a 73 with a 72 and is tied for 16th.
The Cougars will play in the final groups, Tuesday with Missouri and Austin Peay. The shotgun start begins at 8 a.m. Central/6 a.m. Pacific.
