PULLMAN, Wash. - The Washington State University men's golf team is in second place following the first of two Monday rounds at the Palouse Ridge Golf Club.
The Cougars posted a team score of 288 (E) at the par-72, 7,308-yard course, and trail Sacramento State by two strokes entering the second round of competition.
Jarred Bossio (Idaho), Matt Hovan (San Jose State) and Tim Honeycutt (UC Davis) are the individual leaders after the opening round, posting rounds of 3-under 65.
The Palouse Collegiate is the inaugural collegiate men's golf tournament at Palouse Ridge. There are 12 schools vying for the team title in addition to a number of individual competitors.
