Witz Tied For 15th After Day One Of Irish Invitational

HOWIE-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla. - Junior Ryan Witz is tied for 15th after two rounds of play at the Irish Invitational, Monday.

After shooting 74-75 at the El Campeon Golf Course at the Mission Inn Resort, Witz is tied for 15th with 149 (+5). Witz heads into Tuesday's final round eight strokes back of the leader.

Redshirt junior David Fern is tied for 22nd, shooting 151 (+7). Fern has recorded top 25 finishes in five of seven tournaments this season including three top 10 finishes.

Led by Witz and Fern, the Cougars are in eighth place as a team shooting 610 over the first two rounds.

Sophomore Kevin Chen shot 156 (+12), and senior Ben Bryson and freshman Jordan Mason each shot 157 (+13) to round out the scoring for the Cougars.
