Sept. 17, 2010

On Tap This Week: The Washington State University men's golf team will travel to Seattle for the Kikkor Golf Husky Invitational, Sept. 20-21.

The Tournament will be held at the Washington National Golf Club, with 36 holes played Monday and 18 holes played Tuesday. Both days will begin with a 7:30 a.m. shotgun start.

"This will be a bit of a step up in competition," WSU Head Coach Walt Williams said. "A number of top-20 teams will be at the tournament, so we will have to take our A-game over the mountains to Seattle."

The Course: The Washington National Golf Club will play at 7,304 yards and a par 72 for both days of play.

The Field: Joining Washington State in the 14-school tournament will be tournament-host Washington (6), Oregon (5), Oregon State (31), Texas A&M (9), Missouri, BYU, San Diego State, Fresno State, UC Davis, Idaho, Gonzaga, Pepperdine and Pacific.

Representing WSU: Competing for the Cougars will be senior Nick Ellis, junior Trent Sanders, sophomore Hank Frame, redshirt freshman Cody Robinson and freshman Kent Hagen.

Results: Live scoring can be found at www.golfstat.com. Tournament results will be posted at wsucougars.com after each day of competition.
