What's Happening: The Washington State University men's golf team travels to Stanford, Calif., to compete in the U.S. Intercollegiate, April 16-17...54-hole tournament consists of 36 holes Saturday and 18 holes Sunday...held at the par-71, 6,786-yard Stanford Golf Course.

Pac-10 Championships Preview: As the final tournament of the year before the Pacific-10 Conference Men's Golf Championships (April 25-27), the U.S. Intercollegiate will preview the conference championships as it hosts each of the Pac-10 schools...UC Irvine, San Francisco, San Jose, Pacific, Santa Clara, Fresno State, San Diego State, and Long Beach State are also in the field...of the 18 teams competing, Arizona State (No. 10), UCLA (No. 15), Southern California (No. 19), Arizona (No. 24), and Washington (No. 26) are all ranked in the top 30 of GolfWeek's team ratings.

Last Year: The Cougars finished in 16th place at the 2004 U.S. Intercollegiate.

Last Week: At the Bite/Pacific Coast Intercollegiate, David Fern shot 220 (+4) over three rounds at the par-72, 6,670-yard La Purisima Golf Course finishing tied for 10th, only three strokes back of first place...the Cougars finished second in the 21-team field, eight strokes back of tournament champion UC Davis...team's three-round total of 887 (+23) is their third-lowest three-round score this season, and its second place finish is the best finish since winning the Inland Cup, Feb. 14.

Cougars Host Pac-10 Championships: WSU will serve as host of the Pac-10 Conference Men's Golf Championships, April 25-27, at the Walla Walla Country Club in Walla Walla, Wash...the 72-hole event will consist of 36 holes April 25 and 18 holes April 26 & 27.

First For Fern: Washington State redshirt junior David Fern captured his first career tournament victory, Feb. 14, at the Inland Cup at the Walla Walla Country Club...he has finished in the top 25 in seven of 11 tournaments this season including four top 10 finishes.

Cougars Win Inland Cup Title: The Cougars captured the Inland Cup team title for the seventh consecutive year with a nine-stroke victory over Idaho, Feb. 14 at the Walla Walla Country Club.

Bryson Sets School Record At Boise: Senior Ben Bryson recorded his first career tournament victory at the Boise State Bronco Round-up, Oct. 12, at the Boise Ranch Golf Course...54-hole total of 204 (-9) tied him with Dustin White for the lowest three-round total in school history.
