BREMERTON, Wash. - Led by a seventh place effort from sophomore Ryan Camp (Spokane, Wash.) the Washington State men's golf team finished second at the Husky Invitational at the par-72 Gold Mountain Golf Complex Olympic Course, Tuesday.

Camp led a quartet of Cougars that finished in the top 18 places. Camp posted rounds of 74-69-75 to record a two-over par score of 218. The senior duo of Dustin White (Pueblo West, Colo.) and Jeremy Taylor (West Richland, Wash.) finished in a tie for 11th (+5) and a tie for 15th (+6), respectively. Sophomore Isaac Woods (Enumclaw, Wash.) completed the quartet by finishing in a tie for 18th (+7).

The Cougars' final round team score of 367 was best in the 10-team field. With a 54-hole total of 1,106, WSU finished only behind tournament champion Washington and was three strokes ahead of its nearest pursuer, the University of Nevada.

With their finish in a field that included Pacific-10 rivals Washington, Oregon, Stanford, California and Oregon State, the Cougars have not finished lower than second in any of the three fall tournaments in which they participated. WSU began the fall campaign with a second place effort at the Oregon State hosted Northwest Collegiate Classic, Sept. 11 and followed by with a victory at the Idaho Vandal Fall Invitational Sept. 25.
