LOS ANGELES - The Washington State men's golf team carded an 11-over 361 in Tuesday's third round of the Pac-12 Championships, which tied with No. 1 California and was the third best team score of the day. The Cougars climbed to 11th place on the tournament leaderboard with the final round remaining.
Hank Frame, Blake Snyder, Kent Hagen, and Sang Lee all had scores that counted for WSU in the third round. They carded scores of 73, 70, 72, 72, and 74, respectively.
The Cougars' third round score was also better than No. 4 Washington (19-over), No. 8 Stanford (15-over), and No. 12 USC. Only No. 3 UCLA and Arizona State, both 4-over on the day, shot better scores.
Frame led the Cougars Tuesday with a 70 as he elevated himself to a tie for 23rd place (from tied for 42nd). Frame is 8-over with the final round remaining. Anderson continues to lead the Cougars overall, as he maintained his tie for 14th place through round three. He was 3-over Tuesday and is 6-over for the tournament.
The final round of the Pac-12 Championships will begin with tee times starting at 8 a.m. off holes 1 and 10. Live scoring will be available at golfstat.com during tournament play, and final results will be posted at wsucougars.com at the end of the contest.
