SOMIS, Calif. – Senior Blake Snyder led the Washington State University men’s golf team at the opening day of the Jones Invitational at the Saticoy Country Club in Somis, Calif., Monday. Snyder carded a 152 (+8), through two rounds and is currently tied for 23rd.
The Cougars (+45, 621) finished the day tied for ninth with UC Irvine. Both teams sit four strokes back from eighth-place San Jose State (+41, 617). No. 25 USC currently leads the tournament (+9, 585). USC’s Anthony Paolucci and San Diego State’s Riccardo Michelini both shot 1-under par (143), and share the top individual spot.
WSU junior Michael Anderson shot a team-low 75 (+3) in the second round and is currently tied for 28th. Redshirt junior Alex Wagner shot 3-over (75) in the opening round and is tied for 46th. Redshirt junior Sang Lee (+9, 159) and sophomore Bhurinat Songpaiboon (+13, 163) are tied for 50th and 59th, respectively.
