Cougar Swimming Prepares for Pac-12 Championships

The Cougars will face the eight other Pac-12 schools that have a women's swimming team.

WSU CAREER
Sophomore (2011-12):
Won the 100 butterfly and 200 medley relay against NAU...won "B" final of 50 meter free and came in fifth overall in the 100 fly with a time of 54.75, recording a personal best time at Hawkeye Invitational...won 100 fly against Seattle U...finished second in 50 free and 100 fly at OSU dual meet...eighth on Cougar all-time list in 50 free with a time of 23.50...finished 22nd in 100 fly at Pac-12 Championships with a time of 54.55 (fourth on the Washington State all-time list).

Freshman (2010-11): Took second in the 200 butterfly at the Debbie Pipher Memorial Invitational...contributed 13 points in the Cougars' win over Northern Arizona...at Princeton she finished sixth in the 100 fly and ninth in the 200 fly, with a lifetime best time of 2:06.10...also in that meet she set a lifetime best in the 200 free (1:53.87)...competed in the "C" final of the 100 butterfly at the Pac-10 Championships and finished 23rd with a lifetime best 55.58...the time ranks sixth on the WSU all-time list...also led off the 200 medley relay team which tied a season best for the Cougars.

HIGH SCHOOL/CLUB CAREER
Swam for head coach Niklas Olsson at Simklubben Hajen in Lomma, Sweden...finished fifth at the 2009 Swedish National Championship in the 100 butterfly... took fourth at the Swedish Junior National Championship in the 100 butterfly...regional champion in the 50 butterfly.

PERSONAL
Born in Fladie, Sweden...will turn 21 this season...parents Lennart and Anna...mother swam in the 1981 European Championship...aunt Maria swam in the 1984 Olympics...older sister Josefine and younger sister Elin...highest GPA of her class in 2009 and 2010...will pursue a degree in medical science.
