Cougars to Compete at NCAA Swimming Championships

COLLEGE STATION, Texas - Two of the three Washington State University NCAA qualifying swimmers will make their championship debuts Thursday with junior Michaela Ahlin competing in the 500 free and sophomore Rugile Mileisyte swimming in the 50 free. Preliminary swims for the three-day event will begin at 11 a.m. daily with finals beginning at 7 p.m.

All three swimmers will compete Friday with Ahlin in the 100 fly, Mileisyte in the 100 back and senior Elyse Peterson in the 100 breast. Peterson and Ahlin will wrap-up the weekend with their performances in the 200 breast and 200 fly respectively.
