PULLMAN, Wash. - Washington State student-athlete Shaya Schaedler recentely completed her sophomore season as a Cougar swimmer.
As a high school senior, just sitting by the pool was all she could expect. That is when she was diagnosed with a brain tumor. However, that did not stop the Wyoming native from becoming a Division I student-athlete.
Now, Schaedler wants to share her story in hopes that it will help others overcome adversity.
